Calico_Quilter0321: Being an artsy seamstress with a purpose has given focus to creative energy. Sewing machine, serger, patterns, scissors, needle and thread, dress forms, beads, sequins and, of course, fabric, fabric, fabric. My mother sewed, my mother's mother sewed; both were accomplished seamstresses, noted for their artful perfection. They were not teachers so I have had to learn on my own. With every garment or quilt I complete, success or failure, I learn a little bit more. This blog allows me to write about life's little happenings at the Casita, document my progress as a sewist/artist in general, and establish a home base for creative expression.
